About Us

Lakeside Bible Camp is a Christian camp owned and operated by seven evangelical churches in the greater Seattle area. The focus of LBC is solid Bible teaching coupled with exciting program activities.

All of our cabin leaders, directors and cooks are volunteers, experienced with the unique needs of campers they serve. We hold them to a standard of excellence we believe is part of the Christian life. Lakeside Bible Camp has been a member of the Christian Camping & Conference Association since 1960.

Lakeside Bible Camp offers one of the premier camping facilities in the Pacific Northwest. LBC is located on Deer Lake on the southern end of Whidbey Island near Langley and Clinton. About an hour from Seattle, LBC provides campers with a beautiful location and a long list of recreational activities.

Campers shoot BB’s and arrows, play pickleball, basketball, and volleyball, swim and fish in Deer Lake, paddle canoes and row boats. Family and Teen campers also wakeboard & water-ski behind our Malibu ski boat. The only thing hard to find at LBC is a dull moment!

Our Mission

The mission of Lakeside Bible Camp, in partnership with it’ss member churches is to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ by providing a camping/conference center experience where the gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed and believers are prepared to serve God and people.

Statement of Faith

Lakeside Bible Camp has been established for the purpose and proclamation of the following truths. We ask those who join with us in our mission of reaching the lost and building up the saved to agree to work under our Statement of Faith while ministering at Lakeside Bible Camp.

  1. The preaching of the Gospel of the Grace of God;
  2. That salvation is received by grace and through faith alone in our Lord Jesus Christ;
  3. Each member of the human race is fallen, sinful, and lost apart from God;
  4. Every true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ possesses eternal life, and is safe and secure for eternity;
  5. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God including:
    • His virgin birth;
      His work on the cross of Calvary which makes amends for our sins against God;
      His substitutionary death for guilty sinners;
      His blood shed on the cross is the only means for salvation and pardon of sins;
      His miracles are valid and true events as recorded in scripture;
      His bodily resurrection and ascension to the Right Hand of Almighty God;
      His imminent return for His Church and His 1000 year reign on earth as promised by the prophets;
  6. To uphold the truth of the one body of all true Christians indwelled by the Holy Spirit as the Church of Scripture, of which Christ is the risen Head;
  7. To maintain the truth of the priesthood of all true believers in the Lord Jesus Christ (Each obedient believer has the right and privilege to personally worship and serve the Lord);
  8. To endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, to promote Christian love and Christian fellowship with all the living members of Christ’s Body;
  9. The creation of man by the triune (Three in One) God as a direct special creation, distinct from all other creatures on earth, and not by the processes of evolution;
  10. To uphold the inspiration, truth and inerrancy of the Bible as the complete, Word of God to man, that in every word is without error in the original documents;
  11. To stand for a real Heaven and a real Hell;
  12. Life after death for the just and the unjust;
  13. To uphold and teach those ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and Baptism.

Memorial Climbing Wall

Luke Gullberg, devoted believer in Christ and friend of many, died December 12th, 2009 while climbing Mt. Hood. Luke was very active at LBC. Luke was a camper, a TCL cabin leader, produced videos about the camp and had a great passion for everything related to camp. He will be missed by everyone he came in contact with.  In honor of Luke and his love for the outdoors, we have built a 32 foot climbing wall. We will remember Luke’s love for life and for God’s creation.
