A NEW BEGINNING FOR 50 PLUS CAMP!!
Are you 50 yet? If so, you will want to consider this newly revamped 50+ Camp!
June 18th – 22nd (Ends Friday this year!)
Directors Mac & Mindy Sauerlender have an extended week of exciting programming planned! Our Adult Activities Coordinator has great Whidbey Island adventures in mind for you. You will have opportunities to enjoy organized afternoon excursions such as hiking, biking, kayaking, golfing, garden and shop touring, and more! You will be able to enjoy all of the camp activities, water-sports, boating and fishing you have come to love at LBC. And of course there will be opportunity for rest and relaxation in the lodgings and environs of our beautiful campground on Deer Lake.
The speaker will communicate God’s solid truth as it applies to the issues we are facing in this season of our lives. Family stresses, grief recovery, caring for aging parents, empty nest, and grand parenting are topics on which we may focus. He will encourage us to overcome difficulties and to continue to make our lives count as we seek to be faithful to the Lord with His strength and wisdom.
We will gain spiritual enrichment through chapel sessions, as well as optional small group breakouts, 1-on-1s and alone time with our Savior and LORD. Music will be a well-blended mixture of contemporary and traditional favorites.
The food will be excellent and include the first Salmon Bake of the summer. These meals are worth lingering over in rich and helpful conversation with brothers and sisters in Christ. Check out the new brochure for the 50+ Camp coming to a location near you soon.
Please, no one under 50, unless you bring a spouse who has already reached this age where a world of wonder has opened up! 50+ veterans are, of course, welcome to attend.
Date: Monday, June 18th (check in at 3pm) through Friday, June 22nd (late morning).
Check-in begins at 3pm, Monday June 18. The first gathering is dinner at 5:30pm.
