WHAT HAPPENS AT CAMP?

CAMPER BROCHURE

WE KEEP KIDS BUSY!
People expect worship and teaching and great food; we do that. Plus we keep them hopping from one activity to the next. Click below for a sample schedule from a youth camp.
SAMPLE SCHEDULE

ACTIVITIES
What might surprise you is the array of activities available during free time: Frisbee golf, basketball, pickle ball, field hockey, baseball, soccer, BMX track, bb gun and archery ranges, kayaks, canoes, water trampoline, water teeter totter, swimming, BIG slide, crafts, foos ball, carpet ball…and soon we will have a 32′ climbing wall!

HOMESICKNESS
It happens and most of the time it is over quickly. We do our best to keep a homesick camper extra busy making friends, helping cabin leaders, and being engaged in camp activities. If you have strategies for dealing with your child’s homesickness, please let us know in advance.

MAIL
Consider dropping off a letter for every day when you drop off your camper. Or you can mail letters to your camper at LBC, PO Box 310, Clinton, WA 98236. Please put the camper’s name on the envelope! Mail is delivered daily.

CAMP STORE
Be sure to bring some money for our camp store. We sell candy, pop, t-shirts and sweatshirts. Last year’s t-shirts are only $5 and sweatshirts are $10 while supplies last.

MEDICATION
If your camper needs medication, please send only the amount you think he/she will need. Medication does not need to be in prescription bottles. A weekly container works well. Place all in medication one Ziploc bag marked with the camper’s name. Be sure to include a note with clear dosing directions.

When your camper checks in at camp, the medication will be locked up and the instructions given to the first-aid person. The first-aid person will deliver the medication as directed.

ACCESSIBILITY
The camp was built 50 years ago. While our goal is to update the entire camp to be accessible to all, our new lodge is currently the only building with a ramp and ADA approved shower and toilet. The dining hall and chapel can be easily accessed from a paved driveway and should pose no problem to those with limited mobility who want to come for the day. The cabins are more difficult as they have an uneven dirt path leading to them as well as a 4″ step up to the door. Because every situation is unique, we encourage people to come take a look before a camp to see if our set up will work for them.

STAFF
All staff and cabin leaders have current references and have passed federal and/or state background checks.
