Girls Weekend Summary
We had 32 girls this weekend at LBC led by our directors Jen Amrine & Cyndi Edvalds. Those two make a great team as they coordinate crafts and games to connect with the campers. Even though the weekend camps are short, there is still a chance for an impact. After reading through the camper surveys it was evident as to what was meaningful to these kids:
THE PATH: The girls learned about the importance of being on the right path. Some of the girls mentioned that the messages reminded them to consider the path they were on and to choose the right one. Let’s pray that camp shone the light on the true path and that God will help them see the way they should go.
FRIENDS: Many girls mentioned how much they enjoyed their friendships this weekend. They got to meet new friends. They got to reconnect with friends they hadn’t seen since the summer. They got to learn from the speaker about what it is to have a true friend. One camper mentioned that she learned this weekend that she needs to seek to have a GREAT friends. Let’s hope and pray that she finds her greatest friendship in Jesus.
THE WORD: Some campers learned the value of Scripture memorization. One camper mentioned that she memorized her first verse this weekend. Hopefully she continues to hide God’s Word in her heart and that she discovers the reward of planting herself next to the stream that will never run dry (Psalm 1).
Many of you pray for LBC each day. Thank you for your continued prayers. Next up is High School Weekend: February 17–19. If you’ve got a camper to register, just click this link to reserve his or her spot.
Thank you and have a great week!
