WEEKEND RETREAT PARENT GUIDE

Our Weekend Retreat programs include a variety of fun and spiritual activities. Campers will participate in devotionals, sing worship songs, and hear gospel messages during both morning and evening chapel times. A mix of indoor and outdoor activities are organized by the directors, and may include archery, BB guns, climbing, arts and crafts, and group games based on the traditions of each camp. Throughout the retreat, campers can find encouragement in their faith as Christ is proclaimed by our speaker, staff, and volunteers. Weekend Retreats help campers build strong friendships with others campers and with the volunteer Cabin Leaders.

  • For Weekend Retreats, we currently offer two discounts: First Time Camper and Early Bird. We also offer Financial Assistance to camper families in need of that option. Only one discount is applicable per camper, for our Retreat season.

    The First Time Camper discount, of $20 off, is available to any camper who has never previously attended any LBC overnight camp without a parent.

    The First Time Camper discount is only awarded once, for the first camp (either Weekend Retreat or Summer Camp) that a child attends without parents. It is not possible to take this discount twice and it is not transferrable.

    When registering, request this discount if it applies to your camper. The discount must be approved before it applies, so if you want to pay your balance and the $20 off has not yet applied, pay the amount minus $20 and contact our Registrar (registrar@lakesiebiblecamp.org) for assistance.

    The Early Bird discount, of $20 off, is available to returning campers who pay registration fees, IN FULL, two months prior to their retreat session. Once that date has passed, this discount is no longer applicable. If you have requested the Early Bird but it has not yet been deducted from your account, please contact the Registrar (registrar@lakesidebiblecamp.org) for assistance.

    We do offer Financial Assistance for retreats as well! Please contact our office (office@lakesdiebiblecamp.org) for more information and to receive an application.

  • DROP-OFF: Camper check-in is from 6:00-7:00pm on Friday. You are welcome to arrive on the grounds earlier as long as adults stay with their children. Once campers are all checked-in, they will be able to move into their cabins. Dinner is not provided on Friday, but there will be an evening snack.

    Please let the Registrar (registrar@lakesidebiblecamp.org) know if you are planning to arrive later than 7:00pm.

    PICK-UP: Weekend Retreats end at 12:00pm (noon) on Sunday. Youth campers will have lunch at 11:30am, prior to their departure. This is a lunch that is just for the campers (unlike Summer Camp). If a camper needs to depart early, please notify staff at check-in.

    Parent-Child retreats do not include a final lunch before check-out.

  • There is no mail distribution during Weekend Retreats. You can always stick a note in their suitcase! :)
