Here Comes Some Truth
Weekend camps are approaching fast. Our Girls Weekend (Grades 2-6) starts February 10-12 & our first teen camp is High School Weekend, starting February 17–19. I’m so thankful for our lineup of speakers this year who all have a HUGE heart to impact our world and the lives of campers at LBC. Camps like Lakeside have a unique opportunity in our culture to speak truth and to disciple campers who need a clear dose of the Good News.
Janis Schlepp is our speaker for Girls Weekend. She brings all of her creativity as she shares the gospel using skits, pictures, and sound effects. She’s going to share with the girls from Psalm 1, encouraging them to make sure their lives are planted in God’s Word.
High School Weekend
Our very own, Ed Kelley (who is the Executive Director at LBC), is no stranger to speaking at teen camps here at Lakeside. His messages will cut right to the point of the Gospel. Throughout the weekend, he will make himself available to teens so they can ask the questions that are at the top of their minds.
If you received your Winter postcard, you’ll notice of “Base Camp” theme. We’ve put some mountain pictures in the chapel. Camp Muir is a favorite base camp for many. Lakeside is a camp where kids and teens can build their base understanding of God’s Word and learn the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
