WEEKEND RETREAT PARENT GUIDE

Our Weekend Retreat programs include a variety of group games and spiritual activities. Campers will participate in cabin devotionals, sing worship songs, and hear gospel messages during both morning and evening chapel times. A mix of indoor and outdoor activities are organized by Camp Directors. There is always something happening at an LBC camp! Activities may include archery, BB guns, climbing, arts and crafts, and special games based on the traditions of each camp. Throughout the retreat, campers can find encouragement in their faith as Christ is proclaimed by our speaker, staff, and volunteers. Weekends help campers build strong friendships with others in their cabins, those on their teams, and with the volunteer Cabin Leaders.

  • The First Time Camper discount is available in the winter to any camper who has never previously attended any LBC overnight camp without a parent. This discount is $20 off for a Weekend Retreat and is not transferrable.

    The FTC discount is only awarded once, for the first camp (either Weekend Retreat or Summer Camp) that a child attends without parents. It is not possible to take this discount twice.

    When registering, you may request this discount if it applies to your camper.

    Requested discounts are automatically subtracted at the time of registration. The balance due you see will automatically figure in the discount, and be the total payment needed from you unless the discount is not approved.

  • DROP-OFF: Your camper can check in at 6:00pm on Friday. Please DO NOT bring your camper sooner than this time. Once campers arrive at 6pm, and go through the registration process, they will be able to move into their cabins to get settled. Dinner is not provided on Friday.

    PICK-UP: Weekend Retreats end at 12:00pm (noon) on Sunday. Campers will have lunch at 11:30, prior to their departure. This is a lunch that is just for the campers (unlike Saturdays during Summer Camp). If a camper needs to leave before that time, please email the Registrar in advance of drop-off.   • Not for weekends. There is no mail distribution during Weekend Retreats.
