Prayer Warrior #5 - High School Camp
Our speaker for High School Camp is Dan Jester, who is now the pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington, WA. We always love having Dan come and speak because his heart to reach the lost is so evident. He is teaching the teens about the Songs of Ascent (Psalm 120-134) and helping the teens understand how the tabernacle points us to Christ. As I spoke with Dan this morning, he’s encouraged to have already had some amazing conversations with campers. Pray that Dan would have many more conversations this week and the Gospel would make it’s eternal impact for some of these campers.
After check-in on Sunday, we ended up with 64 campers for this camp. We almost have two guy cabin leaders per cabin, but we only have enough for one girl cabin leader per cabin. Since our cabin leaders serve on the front lines this week, please pray that God would sustain their spirits through the week. Pray they would stay actively engaged in meaningful conversations with these teens. Pray that these teens would use this week to seek clarity on the worldly issues that confuse them. Pray that all would walk away from camp this week more confident in their faith.
Summer Needs:
We have 3 more spots in TCL 2 for guys. I have one application right now that I’m processing to hopefully take one of those spots. Pray that we could find some more guys to join us in August for TCL 2.
Jr. High Camp has a need for a worship leader, August 6-12. Please pray that God would help us find someone who is gifted at fostering worship with teenagers.
