What do you really want for Christmas?

In these three verses we get the truths regarding the righteousness of Jesus. Isaiah gives a lists of attributes of the Spirit and attributes these to the Son. Isaiah lets us know that God himself will come into the world and he will be characterized by wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge, and the fear of the LORD. In everything He does, the Messiah is predicted to do exactly what the Father wants.

As we move through the Christmas season, it is a chance to reflect on the true character of God and to follow Christ’s example to delight in the fear of the LORD. More than anything, we should want what God wants and we should delight in Him.

That is a simple message for today, but often I find the short messages are the ones that take a lifetime to learn.
